Wellness Screenings

  • Obviously, pets can’t speak, so they can’t tell us when they don’t feel well or where it hurts. Often they will instinctively mask signs of illness until late in the course of an injury or illness. Ideally, we would examine your pet every 6 months as well as run routine screenings and tests so we could detect underlying disease before it is clinically apparent.
  • Use the age chart below to find your pet’s age in “people” years and the screening testing recommended for each stage of his or her life. Once you determine the age of your pet, you can check the second color-coded chart to see the recommended tests and screenings.
  • These are approximations and may vary by gender, species, and breed.
