Dr. Huerter is a Nebraska native and originally hails from Columbus. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and then went on to complete her DVM degree at Iowa State University. She enjoys all aspects of this incredibly diverse career field, especially cardiology, surgery, dermatology, and puppy snuggles!

Her time outside of veterinary medicine is spent with family and friends attending concerts, trying new restaurants, and enjoying outdoor activities/traveling.

Her own pups include Winnie, a mixed-breed rescue, and Vernie, a golden retriever and the latest addition to the family.
