Jerry – Facility Manager

Jerry – Facility Manager

Jerry Ravnsborg grew up on a farm where you learn to do all kinds of things. He has a BS in Business Administration and owned a manufacturing company, where he later went into technical sales of industrial automation in a three-state area. As a retiree, he enjoys living on an acreage with his wife Carol of 51 years. Their Son is Dr. BJ Ravnsborg, located at the Walnut Creek Veterinary Clinic. They have a daughter, Amy, in Kansas City who is an air traffic controller. Their family has 4 grandchildren, two boys, and two girls. He enjoys working with his hands and currently provides maintenance services for Ridgeview, Walnut Creek, and Skyline Clinics.

Thomas – Technology Support Specialist

Thomas joined the Ridgeview team as our Technology Support Specialist in the Spring of 2020 after receiving his Information Technology degree from the University of Kearney. Thomas and his fiancé have a 3-year-old Husky/Lab mix named Penelope. Thomas is originally from Ada, Oklahoma and in his free time, he likes taking pictures.

Adam – Director of Operations

Adam – Director of Operations

Adam has a degree in operations management from Kansas State University. He currently manages 3 clinics, Ridgeview Animal Hospital in Omaha, Walnut Creek Veterinary Clinic in Papillion, and our newest addition to the veterinary family, Skyline Veterinary Clinic in Elkhorn. He is married to Joanne, who is the owner of Ridgeview Animal Hospital in Omaha. They have five children: Jack, Lucy, Vivien, Jay, and Eddie. Their family pets are a cat, Mellie, and a Border Collie/Shepherd mix named Tex who was rescued from a shelter in Dallas, and Angus the cattle dog, adopted from Heartland German Shepherd Rescue. Since managing 3 busy clinics isn’t enough, Adam and Joey are foster parents and Adam is the founder and volunteer coordinator for Truck Brigade. Truck Brigade serves former foster youth by delivering furniture to their new homes.

Shannon—Practice Administrator

Shannon—Practice Administrator

Shannon has been in the veterinary industry since 2000 when she graduated from N.C.T.A. and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She worked in 2 other clinics and with Dr. Gaines as an LVT prior to Ridgeview opening. A passion for animal medicine was only the beginning of her career. She keeps up her license as a technician to help with patients when needed but has transitioned into practice management over the past 10yrs. Even more, than helping the doctors and furry family members, she found that she enjoyed using her other skills to help build strong teams and positive cultures in the clinics while continuing to learn and grow herself. She is now the Practice Administrator for Ridgeview Animal Hospital, Walnut Creek Veterinary Clinic, and Skyline Veterinary Clinic.

She is also the proud mom of 2 teenage boys, Gavin and Malik, that keep her busy when she’s not in the clinics and a dachshund, Stella. Her sweet fur baby for the past 16 years!

Dea—Licensed Veterinary Technician, Clinic Manager

Dea lives right here in Papillion with her husband Kevin, their 3 children and their 3 senior pets. When she’s not busy running kids to soccer, basketball, and football, she likes to spend her free time reading a good book. As you can probably guess, she doesn’t get much reading in! Dea graduated from UNL in 1999, Vatterott in 2007, and has been a licensed veterinary technician since 2007. After working for us as an LVT for 4 years, she started doing some administrative work and in 2017, she became our clinic manager.

Kelly is from Omaha, Nebraska and received her degree as a veterinary technician from Iowa Western Community College in 2015. She started her internship with us in 2014 and has been part of the team ever since! She obtained Fear Free certification as of January 2020. She has one dog, Larry, a Weimaraner.

Briana is originally from Arkansas and stationed here with her husband and daughter. She graduated from Iowa Western with her veterinary technician degree. She obtained her Fear Free Certification as of January 2020. She has two dogs named Primrose and Nymeria, and two kitties named Tyrion and Benjen.

Angela is originally from Las Vegas, NV. She wanted to work in Veterinary Medicine since she was 11 years old. She attended the College of Southern Nevada and her first job was as a kennel attendant in 1994. In her free time, she likes to play the violin, attend the symphony, go to the movies, and county fairs. She is also an avid gardener. She has one daughter Alexis and they love having fun and being happy with their many animals.

Tracy is a 2019 graduate of Colby Community College, where she received her Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Nursing. She grew up on a small farm in Eastern Kansas and has two cats, Eileen and Echo, and a Lab/Border Collie Mix, Dixie. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with friends and family.

Melissa – Administrative Assistant / LVT

Melissa is a Fremont native and obtained her Associate of Applied Science Degree from Vatterott College in 2009. She completed her externship at Ridgeview Animal Hospital and joined our sister clinic, Walnut Creek, as a licensed technician in March of 2010. She then transitioned to Skyline Veterinary Clinic in January of 2016 as the Clinic Manager, after two years she transitioned to the flex technician role and is now the Administrative Assistant for all 4 sister clinics. In addition to being a tech, Melissa enjoys football, fishing, music, softball, and being outdoors. She currently resides in Omaha with her husband Grant, their son Waylon and their fuzzy kids Daphne, Janis, Roxie, and Kitler.

Alicia was born in Denver, Colorado and grew up in southeast Iowa. She is married to Josh and they have two kids, Kolby and Thea. They also have a Vizsla named Cooper, and two cats named Luna and Mali. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling, teaching Cooper new tricks, and the Minnesota Vikings!

Stacy joined our team as a Client Care Specialist in July 2018. She grew up in England and moved to Nebraska in 1985. Stacy and her husband Mario have two dogs; a 10-year-old Chihuahua named Chewy and a 2-year-old beagle, adopted from Hands Hearts and Paws, named Niobe. In her spare time, Stacy enjoys reading and watching movies.

Carolyn joined our team as a Client Care Specialist in September of 2019. She travels around to our sister clinics as well to help where needed. Carolyn was born in Baltimore, MD, but moved to Nebraska when she was in middle school. She has been an animal person her whole life and she loves helping people. She graduated from Hastings College in 2017 with her Wildlife Biology/Studio Art degree. In her free time, she likes to hike, watch movies, play video games, read and garden. She has a mini Aussie, Addie, and two cats Molly and Lil Bit.

Stephanie came into this industry following her love for animals. She grew up in South Omaha and settled down in Papillion calling it her home. With a rescue Pit named Luke, an American Bully named Bella, and a son named Ben, she is both a fur-mom and people-mom! Stephanie has an immense background in customer service and prides herself on her relationship with the Papillion community. In her free time you’ll find her at one of her favorite local breweries because if there’s anything she loves as much as animals, it’s anything and everything about craft beer!

Joeie is from Louisville, Nebraska and has always been interested in working with animals. She is currently enrolled at UNL in Animal Science and SCC for her business degree. She has 2 dogs named Zoeie and Ellie Mae. She likes to ride horses and hang out with her friends in her spare time.

Kira is from Bellevue and has always had a love for animals and wanted to work with them. She plans to enroll in the Veterinary Technician Program at Iowa Western and get her degree. She has two dogs, a cat, 2 leopard geckos, and a betta fish. In her spare time, she loves to go to concerts, take road trips, and practice her digital art.

Taylor grew up here in Omaha and wanted to get in the veterinary field because of her love for animals. She is currently enrolled at Iowa Western Community College for her Veterinary Technician Degree. She has a cat named Baby and two leopard geckos named Papi and Lee. In her spare time, she likes to cook and watch Netflix.

I’ve always had a love for animals since I was little. I began my veterinary career in 2012 as a Veterinary Assistant. Decided to take that a step further and go to tech school where I graduated from Vatterott in 2014 with my Associate’s degree. I am currently working on my bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology. I am a busy mom of 3 and spend most of my time at both of my son’s soccer games and my daughters’ gymnastics meets. We have a Yorkie named Taz and a Siamese mix named Diamond.
